•   KRIBHCO has always been an environmentally conscious organisation. Preservation and     enrichment of the     environment are accorded utmost importance.

•   Various in-built pollution control schemes have been incorporated in the plant to control pollutants at     source.

•   Quality of gaseous emissions is maintained better than the standards prescribed by Gujarat  Pollution      Control Board.

•   The pollutant load due to liquid effluent generation is well below the prescribed norms of GPCB. As a      result, our Effluent Ponds have rich marine life & have become a habitat of various types of    birds.


ENVIRONMENT MONITORING SYSTEMS

•    Modern laboratory with sophisticated instruments

•   Ambient air quality monitoring at six stations approved by GPCB & one Continuous automatic Ambient Air     Quality monitoring station.

•   Liquid effluent & stack emission monitoring by an independent monitoring agency.

•   Environmental audit by GPCB approved auditor as per guidelines of Hon’ble High Court of Gujarat

    As a result of the extensive monitoring systems in place, so far, there is no public complaint on environmental     issues.
