1980

Incorporation

Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO) was incorporated on 17th April, 1980 as a national level Multi State Cooperative Society to implement first gas based “state-of-the-art” high capacity Fertilizer Complex at Hazira District-Surat, Gujarat, India based on natural gas from Bombay High/ South Bassein.

1982

Laying of Foundation Stone

- KRIBHCO Hazira Plant's Foundation Stone was laid by the then Prime Minister of India Late Smt. Indira Gandhi on 5th February, 1982

- Seeding Program of KRIBHCO urea was also initiated.

1985

Trial Production

The trial production commenced from November, 1985. Hazira Fertilizer complex was commissioned in the same year in record time.

Commercial Production

KRIBHCO's Commercial Production of Urea started on 1st March, 1986.

1991

Certified Seeds

Keeping in view the importance of Quality Seeds in enhancing the agricultural production, KRIBHCO initiated Seed Multiplication Programme to provide quality certified seeds of the crops in 1991.

GVT

With the objective of working towards the upliftment of rural communities, Gramin Vikas Trust (GVT) was started as a division of KRIBHCO in 1992.

1995

Bio-Fertilizer

- Bio-Fertilizer Plant at Hazira was Commissioned for production of Semi Solid Bio-Fertilizer in 1995.
- KRIBHCO entered in Joint Venture for OMIFCO with Oman Oil and IFFCO.

- Bio-Fertilizer Plant at Hazira Commissioned for production of Semi Solid Bio-Fertilizer

2000

Revision of Installed Capacity

Capacities of Ammonia & Urea plants were reassessed by Govt. of India to 2 x 1520 MTPD Ammonia and 4 x 1310 MTPD Urea with revised annual installed capacity of 10.03 Lakh MT of Ammonia and 17.29 Lakh MT of Urea.

Foundation stone of OMIFCO plant was laid in 2003 (JV of KRIBHCO, OMAN OIL & IFFCO).

2005

KSFL

- KRIBHCO entered into JV with Shyam group for KRIBHCO Shyam Fertilizers Limited (KSFL), urea manufacturing facility at Shahjahanpur.
- Commercial production of OMIFCO urea commenced in 2005.

KRIBHCO incorporated Kribhco Infrastructure Limited (KRIL), a 100% subsidiary to venture into logistics business

2010

City Compost

- KRIBHCO added products like city compost which is an organic manure and high yielding varieties of hybrid seeds of various crops to its product basket in 2010.

Liquid Bio-Fertilizers

Liquid Bio Fertilizers, Single Super Phosphate and Complex Fertilizers were added to the product basket in 2011.

2012

Revamp

The Hazira Fertilizer Complex was revamped in 2012 to increase its production capacity by 4.65 LMTPA of Urea. After the revamp, the rated capacity has been enhanced to 4 x 1662.5 MTPD Urea (21.95 LMTPA) and 2 x 1890 MTPD Ammonia (12.47 LMTPA). With this, the Hazira fertilizer complex became largest single location urea plant in India at that time.

2013

Neem Coated Urea

In 2013, KRIBHCO started production and marketing of Urea coated with Neem oil well ahead of Government's mandating neem coating of all urea.

2015

Zinc Sulphate

Realizing the importance of Zinc Sulphate for the crops, KRIBHCO added Zinc sulphate mono-hydrate (33%) and Zinc sulphate heptahydrate(21%) to its product basket in 2015.

KSFL become 100% subsidiary of KRIBHCO and become KFL

In 2016, KRIBHCO acquired the balance equity in KSFL and it became 100% subsidiary of KRIBHCO, renamed as KRIBHCO Fertilizer Limited(KFL).
