In order to ensure supply of quality seeds to farmers of the country, KRIBHCO has established Seed testing laboratory with annual capacity of 5000 samples. It has a modern state-of-the art infrastructure for testing seeds of various crops. It was established in July, 2013 at KRIBHCO, Bhawan, Noida.
KRIBHCO has 12 Seed processing Units (SPUs) in 8 states. Seeds from KRIBHCO’s Seed Processing Units are sent to seed testing facility at Noida. Samples are tested by following strict procedures and guidelines for testing of seeds. Results of the samples are shared with concerned units and states offices for corrective measures, if any. Currently the Seeds of Soyabean, Wheat, Gram, Mustard and Moong crops are being tested at the Seed testing Laboratory at Noida.
